The “Mediterranean Declaration for Climate Change” led by the Valencian Community, starred in the daily newsletter of Climate-KIC during COP21.
Throughout the United Nation Climate Change Conference, COP 21, organized this year in Paris, several organization, and media gathered together to attend and cover all the debates and event forecasted for those really intense two-weeks period.
Climate KIC was one the main actor that engage in those meetings, both in the Bourget Area and in the Grand Palais, where it actively participated unfolding all his resources for counting what was going on there.
The London Communication Headquarters, gave an excellent daily coverage with interviews, videos and moreover through his wonderful Daily Planet newsletter, which offers daily information above the most significant events of the summit highlighting the news concerning the fight against climate change.
Among those, it should be noted one released by the Valencian Office of Climate KIC Spain about the “Mediterranean Declaration for Climate Change”, which was subscribed on the last November by the Regional Counsellor of Andalusia, Catalonia, Balearic Islands and Valencian Community. The political commitment of those leaders shows the importance of this manifesto, related to an area of significant importance in adapting climate change, not only for its already visible consequences, but also for the amount of population covered by this deal, which with more than 22 million inhabitants, almost resembles the whole population of Holland and Denmark combined.
It is also important to notice that those regions of the Mediterranean Basin, anticipating COP21, have found a framework of commitment and agreement in order to change their economic model and to keep a cross-coordinated policy among the regions involved in the Declaration.
