Microsoft Ventures interested in Valencia as an ideal city to undertake and invest
Valencia Council has set since 22nd -25th February its own exhibition space at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Mobile World Congress is a very important global event that hosts the most significant developments around the sector of mobile and within this context it also takes place the third edition of 4YFN (4 Years From Now), the international business and networking platform for technological startups which exhibition area will host about 400 exhibitors, and where the Valencian stand is located.
Climate-KIC Spain participates in this stand jointly with other Valencian entities such the affiliate partners AVAESEN and InnDea Foundation (Valencia City Council and promoter of the Valencian presence). Other Valencian entrepreneurial and innovative ecosystem representatives of the city of Valencia are Big Ban Angels, Social Nest, Demium Startups, BBooster , Plug & Play Spain, GeeksHubs and StartupXplore. Zack Weisfeld, General Manager of Microsoft Ventures is one of the prestigious guests that has visited the Valencian stand at 4YFN. He showed interest in Valencia as a city to establish its global accelerator and continue its expansion strategy. As far as Valencia City is involved and committed with accelerators, incubators and numerous startups in the city and takes part of the innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem could attend the “Innovation Market” along with other international ecosystems such as Korea, Austria, United Kingdom and Colombia.
AVAESEN, coordinator of the Climate-KIC Spanish entrepreneurship pillar, in this sense and for showing the potential and success of participating in the Accelerator Climate-KIC, has brought to this event to one of the most successful startups has gone through, Closca.
