Climate-KIC representatives form the RIC Valencia visit Portugal to tight links between regions

In the first week of November, a delegation of the Climate-KIC Valencia office has celebrated a series of meetings in the Portuguese municipalities of Vila real, Oporto, Aveiro and Lisbon aiming to make balance of the 2014 cooperation and strength the working alliances for the following years in the ClimateKIC framework, in the Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS).
This scheme was approved the current year with the goal to enlarge the territorial impact in the fight against the climate change, with a first step including six outreach regions.
The region North of Portugal and Lisbon have been invited, as outreach region hosted by the Valencian region, to participate in the different initiatives implemented in the Climate-KIC regions.
Therefore, eleven Portuguese experts have been integrated into the Pioneers into Practice programme, obtaining an especific training, and participating in the regional and international one-month placements in committed entities eith the climate change challenge. Moreover, the ClimateKIC initiative had seven Portuguese start-ups, which have participated in the Accelerator programme.
The Portuguese participants have demonstrated their high skills and commitment, being integrated in the different programmes, reaching three of the start-ups the final competition of the Accelerator and one of the Portugal.
