40 participants in the Second Event Climate Helix debate about Climate and Environment in Valencia

Co-organized by the Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC) and the European Network Vision 2020 with the collaboration of Climate-KIC Spain, promotes networking among researchers to set up consortia to submit projects to Horizon 2020.

40 participants from different European countries gather from yesterday until this afternoon at the Tramoieres Room of the Botanical Garden of the University of Valen-cia to discuss Climate and Environment under the Second Climate Helix Event action that it is co-organized by the Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC) and the European Network Vision 2020 in collaboration with Climate KIC Spain.
The main objective of the meeting is to promote networking among researchers and business representatives with the aim of creation of consortia to submit new proposals of R + D for the next calls for research grants in the European framework of Horizon 2020.
The Second Climate Helix Event was welcomed and opened yesterday by José Luis Muñoz, Director of Climate KIC Spain. After, there was an introduction by the ITC to explain the development of the following working sessions related to “Climate Action and environment “. The working sessions related with Sustainable Processes, Resource Efficiency and Raw materials “, would be dealt in the morning of 30th with the opening and welcome of Abdul Rahim, Director of Vision 2020.

About Vision 2020: The Horizon Network
The European Network Vision2020 is defined as a platform for innovation organizations of research and companies participating in the European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020, which budget is 80 billion € to fund thousands of research projects.

The original concept of this network is to act as a meeting point between excellence research centers (RTOs) and innovative enterprises (SME members) network members, in order to maximize their returns on calls H2020. Within Vision2020, there are different thematic clusters (called “helix”) whose objective is to promote the joint participation of members of Vision2020 in specific calls for H2020, identifying synergies and facilitating partnerships. ITC leads the Climate Helix.
