The Journey\u2019s target audience are Master and PhD students from a multitude of disciplines related with the mitigation of the climate change\u2019s impacts.<\/p>\n<p>This summer class, promoted by the European initiative Climate-KIC, consists in a five week-long course across three European countries. It will offer a unique combination of academic study and real-world business experience with the aim of creating the climate change leaders of tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>In this 2015 edition, more than 300 students from various nationalities will be divided into 8 separate groups, encompassing 12 locations across Europe. Students from each group will journey across three countries, gaining insight and experience from a selection of Europe\u2019s best universities and most innovative businesses.<\/p>\n<p>The Journey aims to bring a multidisciplinary approach to climate change mitigation, since students from a multitude of academic backgrounds such as climate and environment, but also design, architecture, or economics assisted to the info day.<\/p>\n<p>Julia Ferrandiz, one of the valencian students who participated in the 2014 edition of the Journey, was presented at the event: \u201c<em>It was a fantastic experience at a personal and professional level. You feel especially motivated to work with so many talented people from different disciplines. When working in a group, your fellow colleagues complement the knowledge that you miss, and you bring what you know on the subject in which you are a specialist.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mar\u00eda del Rey, course coordinator of the Valencian placement, commented: \u201c<em>The summer school, the Journey, will give you aptitudes and a whole new mindset, providing you with business skills that you will need in the future economy.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Climate-KIC\u2019s representative of Alumni, Boris V\u00e9liz, also intervened and explained the opportunities for a student after having participated in the summer school. Marta Esteve, Climate-KIC Valencia\u2019s Communication Manager, briefly described other Climate-KIC programmes, such as the Accelerator for start-ups and the programme of professional mobility, \u201cPioneers into Practice\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>For applying the call will be open on Monday 2<sup>nd<\/sup> March and will be closed on the 31<sup>st<\/sup> March.
