Phase 2 from July 1 to December 31 2018

We help entrepreneurs develop clean technology companies in three stages:

Phase 1: Definition of the business model

From April 1 to June 30, 2018:

  • Mentoring with national and international experts.
  • Coaching: Product / Market Segmentation, Finance, Equipment …
  • Master Classes
  • Access to Technological Validation checks
  • Networking events with the most relevant actors in the CleanTech sector.

Calling Calendar:

  • From December 20, 2017 to March 6 , 2018: Reception of proposals
  • From   March 6 to 13 in March of 2018 Selection of candidates who meet the program requirements
  • March 13, 2018: Communication of the selected start-ups
  • March 21 to 23, 2018: Individual interviews with the jury of Climate-KIC Spain
  • March 27, 2018: Communication of the start-ups selected to participate in Phase 1 of the program

Eligibility criteria Phase I:

  • Have an innovative idea related to new technologies or services with a substantial impact on climate
  • Basic business model already defined
  • Start-up composed of a motivated team (at least two founders).
  • The newly created company may or may not have a legal entity formed yet
    • If affirmative, the legal entity can not be older than 2 years
    • Otherwise, one of the objectives in stage 1 is to create a legal entity
  • The team must be committed to participate in the activities of the program
  • The team is able to work in an English-speaking environment
    • Level of spoken and written high English (min B2)

Phase 2: Validation of the business model

From July 1 to December 31, 2018:

  • Mentoring with national and international experts.
  • Coaching: Product / Market Segmentation, Finance, Equipment …
  • Master Classes
  • Access to Technological Validation checks
  • Events with Businesss Angels and specialized investors
  • Access to the presentation of start-ups in national and international events
  • Access to the Venture Competition and Climate Innovation Festival.
  • Networking events with the most relevant actors in the CleanTech sector.

Eligibility criteria Phase II:

  • Evidence of the validation of the business model by real-world clients.
  • Develop and present a plan to develop products / services prepared for the market and achieve market entry.

Phase 3: Investment

From April 1 to December 31 2018

  • Mentoring with national and international experts.

  • Events with Businesss Angels and specialized investors
  • Access to the presentation of start-ups in national and international events
  • Networking events with the most relevant actors in the CleanTech sector.
  • Access to forums and investment days.

Eligibility criteria Phase III:

  • Start-ups that can be submitted to phase 3 must necessarily pass phase 2 of the Climate-KIC Accelerator program
  • An already defined business model
  • Identification of the first users / customers / partners
